Please read these terms and conditions of use carefully before using this site.

1. TERMS

ALICE IN THEATERLAND is a non-profit website owned and operated by the actress Aliki Katsavou (info@aliceintheaterland.info).

The purpose of this site is to provide users with information about theatre, acting and related subjects. In order to achieve this it provides users with access to a rich collection of resources, including but not limited to various communications tools, forums, shopping services, search services and personalized content. These may be accessed through any various medium or device now known or hereafter developed. You also understand and agree that the Service may include advertisements and that these advertisements are necessary for 'Alice in Theaterland' to provide the service.

All website design, text (except what we call "words of others" and is inside quotations marks and fully acknowledged in our bibliography and footnotes), graphics (except those that otherwise stated), the selections, logo and arrangement thereof, are the copyright ©, 1999-2007, of Aliki Katsavou [Greece] (collectively referred to as "ALICE IN THEATERLAND," "I," "me," or "my" herein).

By using this site, you signify your assent to these terms of use (TOS). If you do not agree to these terms of use please do not use the site. I reserve the right, at my discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms at any time. Please check these terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of ALICE IN THEATERLAND following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes. In addition, when using particular Alice in Theaterland owned or operated services, you and Alice in Theaterland shall be subject to any additional guidelines or rules applicable to such services. 2. RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF MATERIALS

No material from ALICE IN THEATERLAND may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way, except that you may download one copy of the materials on any single computer for your personal, non-commercial home use only, provided that:

  1. you keep intact all copyright and other proprietary notices,
  2. you make no modifications to the materials,
  3. you do not use the materials in a manner that suggests an association with or endorsement of any product, service, opinion, cause or anything else,
  4. you do not download quantities of materials to a database that can be used to avoid future downloads from ALICE IN THEATERLAND web site.

For purposes of these terms, the use of any such material on any other Web site or networked computer environment is prohibited.

All the material, including any files, images, and site name are proprietary to Alice Katsavou.

3. FORUMS AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION

"Forum" means a bulletin board, chat area, or any user generated or interactive content area at "Alice in Theaterland" official site or at other pages maintained by Alice Katsavou such as those at Picasa Album of Aliki Katsavou or Alice in Theaterland blog page.

You agree to not use the Forum to:

  1. upload, post or otherwise publish through ALICE IN THEATERLAND any content that is unlawful, harmful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, threatening, abusive, harassing, vulgar, hateful, invasive of another's privacy, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
  2. harm minors in any way;
  3. impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;
  4. upload, post or otherwise transmit any content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements);
  5. upload, post or otherwise transmit any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party;
  6. upload, post or otherwise transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation;
  7. link, upload, post or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
  8. interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the Service;
  9. intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law, and any regulations having the force of law;
  10. "stalk" or otherwise harass another;
  11. collect or store personal data about other users;
  12. promote or provide instructional information about illegal activities, promote physical harm or injury against any group or individual, or promote any act of cruelty to animals. This may include, but is not limited to, providing instructions on how to assemble bombs, grenades and other weapons, and creating "Crush" sites;

The Forums shall be used only in a non-commercial manner. You shall not, distribute or otherwise publish any material containing any solicitation of funds, promotion, advertising, or solicitation for goods or services. You specifically acknowledge that soliciting other ALICE IN THEATERLAND guests to join or become members of any commercial online service or other organization is expressly prohibited.

Never assume people are who they say they are, know what they say they know, or are affiliated with whom they say they are affiliated with in user-generated content area. Information obtained on message boards or in chat rooms is no substitute for independent research, and it's not a good idea to trade or make any investment decisions based solely or largely on information you can't confirm. ALICE IN THEATERLAND cannot be responsible for the content or accuracy of any information, and shall not be responsible for any decisions made based on such information.

4. SUBMISSIONS

ALICE IN THEATERLAND respects the rights (including the intellectual property rights) of others, and I ask my users to do the same. I do not claim ownership of the content you place on my Forum or submit to me. By uploading materials to my Forum or submitting any materials to me, you automatically grant me a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and distribute such materials or incorporate such materials into any form, medium, or technology now known or later developed throughout the universe, solely for the purpose of promoting your ideas. In addition, you warrant that all so-called "moral rights" in those materials have been waived and that the submission, copyright, distribution, and use of such materials in connection with ALICE IN THEATERLAND will not violate any other party's proprietary rights.

5. LINKS

ALICE IN THEATERLAND may link you to sites containing information that some people may find inappropriate or offensive.
I do make an effort to check for the content of every link from ALICE IN THEATERLAND links page to other sites, for them to be according to our policy but with the size of our links pages and the frequency with which it is updated, an extensive review is practically impossible.

Consequently, ALICE IN THEATERLAND is not and cannot be held responsible for the accuracy, copyright compliance, legality or decency of material contained in sites listed in my links pages or otherwise linked to the ALICE IN THEATERLAND site.

6. MEMBERS CONTACT (throught e-mail, posting, etc)

You must understand that by submitting your e-mail address in any user-generated area you make it available to me and maybe to everyone who views that page. As a result of this you may receive unwanted e-mail messages from third parties. ALICE IN THEATERLAND can not hold responsible for any messages arising as a result of your action. You are not obliged to submit your e-mail with your content.

By contacting to me through ALICE IN THEATERLAND e-mail address, you make available your e-mail address to me and only, and I will not make it available to third parties.

The only message that you may receive from ALICE IN THEATERLAND is a newsletter from time to time with news from theatre and news of this site. You can terminate these messages at any time by returning the newsletter to opt-out@aliceintheaterland.info with the word REMOVE in the subject.

7. DISCLAIMER

The materials in this site are provided on an "as is" basis and without warranties of any kind either express or implied. ALICE IN THEATERLAND do not represent or warrant that the information accessible within this website is accurate, complete or up to date. ALICE IN THEATERLAND will not be liable for damages arising out or in connection with the use of this website. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including but not limited to compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.
